Today is the day we have been working towards for months: FestivalPilot is live — both on the App Store and on Google Play. Free, no ads, no tracking, with a real offline mode and an Apple Watch app that does more than mirror notifications.
What the app does today
The 2026 season is live. On board at launch:
- 15 festivals with complete timetables — Rock am Ring, Rock im Park, Hellfest, Download, Pinkpop, Rock Werchter, Copenhell, Rock for People and more
- 1,100+ bands with slot times, stages and day assignments — maintained, corrected, cross-checked against the official sources
- Offline timetable that keeps working without signal once the catalog is loaded — the most important mode on site
- Clash detection for your marked acts: which two sets overlap, when you need to decide, which compromises are realistic
- Apple Watch companion with Live Mode: current set, next marked act, remaining time on your wrist
- Push reminders before set start — configurable, so you do not have to keep your phone in hand all day
- Real-time updates: when set times change, we follow up — and the local catalog updates with them
What you do not get
Just as important as what is in the app is what we deliberately left out:
- No tracking, no third-party SDKs, no ad ID reads
- No ads — no banners, no full-screen interstitials between stages
- No mandatory account — open the app, plan, done
- No US cloud setup — catalog and API run on a dedicated server in Nuremberg, no third-country data transfer
Why now
The marketing site went live in April, the backend was stable, the catalog pipeline was running. What ate the last weeks is everything not on the marketing pitch: finding and fixing timetable drift in festival seeds, working through App Store review, rendering day-boundary edge cases cleanly (sets that run past midnight), stabilising Apple Watch sync.
The result is an app we want to use ourselves at a festival — not one we just wanted to ship.
Where to get it
- iOS / iPadOS / Apple Watch / Mac (Apple Silicon): App Store
- Android: Google Play
The app is free. If it makes your festival season easier, leave a review — that helps us more than any ad banner we would not build anyway.
Have a good season.
